The Provost Guard
This organization is known as the Al Menah Temple Provost Guard, a Uniformed Unit.
The Provost Guard of Al Menah is a group, having as its primary objective, the promotion and development of an outstanding uniformed inner body to bring together Nobles of Al Menah in a closer bond of friendship, to encourage, promote, and create enthusiasm among its members for the betterment of Al Menah and its own members to provide entertainment and sociability among its members, to form a solid co-operative body of Nobles upon which the Illustrious Potentate can call and depend upon to perform on behalf of Al Menah and its Nobility. This will include all ceremonials, parades and all public appearances in which the Unit participates.
The Unit has the responsibility for the internal security of the Temple at all Shrine functions at the discretion of the Potentate. Membership in the Provost Guard is open to all members of Al Menah Shrine Center in good standing.
The Unit is represented in competition by its Riding Team. These members practice locally and travel to the various locations thought out the southeast to compete.
The Unit also has a van which they take to Parades.
Members stand/sit duty at the front and back doors of the Shrine Center in Uniform at various functions.
Ladies are encouraged to attend with their Nobles and are an important part of this Unit. All members are encouraged to attend the competitions.
